Execute?

If you work in a law firm (without adequate knowledge of the subject) and you are asked to witness an execution what will readily come to mind? Dreadfully, I was faced with this offer which I couldn't refuse. Immediately several pictures flooded my mind; soldiers pulling out their AK 47 in promptness to shoot a group of people fastened to a display place who most likely had said their last prayers and blood spattering all over the place. Gush! “did you say execution?” I asked. Needless to say I was already thinking ways to elude the hideous panorama. (nna men lekwa grammar!) I presume the lawyer could tell my thoughts so explained it wasn't putting to death but implementing a court order to vacate a property. That was also not good but compared to my earlier assumption it was fair enough.

By 5.15 am in a way I felt like Tom cruise as we were already on our way for a mission…possible.

The place far o; in ogun state sef (I live in Lagos) that’s why we had to leave that early. During the journey, I thought of the guy that was to be thrown out and how oblivious he was of what was to befall him on a decent morning. Chai! I felt a tiny pity for him (it’s not wickedness o. you’ll find out why it was tiny in a minute).

We got there and a true life story began (like say na Hollywood Nollywood hehehe). I found out that Mr. Emeka was married with three pretty children and they were just about going to school. What a shame! Do you think the decision of the landlord was cruel? I almost concluded so at first but the true story is that this guy owed four years rent and the rent is N90k per annum for a three bedroom flat. This kind thing no fit happen for Lagos na. The landlord had it up to his bald head.(Excuse the pun)

Person wey don claim say e no get money kon comot money. Haba! This kind gist sweet pass for pidgin abeg. The landlord refused to accept him back initially but after so much oga abeg, abeg oga…he considered the fact that the “balogun” of the town intervened and the guy was from his home town. If not den for change am for am (i razz abi?) but at least he faced the shame of watching his things taken out of the house and of course the attention it attracted.

This landlord and tenant matter sef! God will give us our own property jare.

I like my blog posts to always have a lesson but I am unsure of this one.

Anyways this happened a few months back and i don’t work for that law firm anymore.

Have a good day blogfam! *blowing kisses*
