My observation, what’s yours?

On a lovely thursday morning-last week, my folks kept comments flowing, their eyes still affixed to the TV. Apparently they were carried away by this Yoruba movie. I decided to join them and while watching, something occurred to me and then I asked:”why do Yoruba movies always have diabolical scenes?” Is it only me that has noticed that one or more “babalawos” must be included in most Yoruba movies? No offense Yorubas, I totally love you guys but usually, movies tend to portray the lifestyle of a certain tribe or person and most times in Nigeria, they are true life stories. My question is, is diabolism a lifestyle of the Yorubas? Or should the question be is the issue of diabolism associated with the Yorubas over flogged? In my opinion, the latter should be the right inquiry. I mean creativity could still be displayed while speaking a true Nigerian language. Not trying to deem little the efforts the producers and directors put but I must say this and I guess I am speaking for you guys too-we are tired of this storyline. Come up with new ones. Thank you.

O.k. guys, you could say something about this too or you could say something about this blog. *smiles*
